Where to find cave troll livers in Witcher 3? ›

There's a cave about about halfway and north of the road westward from Harviken, with both a rabid rock troll and an ice troll inside. The cave entrance is just slightly northwest from the third pillar with a torch on the path.

The most commonly found troll is located at a bridge/bandit camp west of a crossroads fast travel location in the southeastern part of velen. This is also directly south from the ancient oal fast travel location.

The best spot is a bridge a bit south from the Tree Spirit near the crossroads fast travel spot. Originally there are bandits guarding the bridge but once you kill them a troll will show up. You can kill it an it will drop the mutagen.
